Edward Brennan is a highly experienced teacher and school administrator who has held key roles in the Fairfield Public Schools for more than thirty years before joining Saint Mary School in 2006. His experience includes serving as the principal of Tomlinson Middle School, in Fairfield Connecticut, for fourteen years. Mr. Brennan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairfield University and a Masters of Arts degree from Fordham University. He has been involved with Action for Bridgeport Community Development, establishing anti-poverty programs and working with inner city youth, as well as the Center for Economic Education, serving as a catalyst in the development of economic education programs for schools in Connecticut.
In addition to his impressive career experience, Mr. Brennan brings much energy and enthusiasm to his position. He feels very strongly about academic achievement and spiritual growth. “Every child must be intellectually challenged in the context of a supportive environment”, which he refers to as “a stretch with a smile”. Students at Saint Mary School will continue to grow in their faith and love of God as well as academic excellence.
Currently, Mr. Brennan resides in Monroe, Connecticut with his wife and has four grown children. He has a passion for running, which led him to compete in the New York City Half Marathon. Mr. Brennan proudly wore his Saint Mary School shirt as he ran the marathon, and received considerable attention by the cheering spectators.
